About
I know folks are probably most interested in the issues, but I thought you might like to get to know the person...just a little.
Husband, father, and grandfather.
Family first... and always.
Multi-generational Vermonter.
At least four generations of Vermonters (that I know of) in our heritage. I have the dubious honor of being born in Florida, but lived here most of my life. These are my grandparents c. 1933. My grandmother entered and won a haying contest! She said she got many marriage proposals out of that.
Software engineer, entrepreneur, business owner.
Owner and principle developer for Publishers' Assistant Software since 1990. Fiercely devoted to our users, many have been with me for nearly 30 years.
Active in community engagement, former Essex Town School Board Chair
ETSD Strategic Planning Committee, former Essex Town School Board Chair, Essex Governance Group, Thoughtful Growth in Action.
Essex Republicans Chair, Chittenden County Republicans Vice Chair.
I remember when being Republican was a practical thing, and "reaching across the aisle" actually meant something.
I've made a point in my life to talk to people of different perspectives. In the church I attended for 30 years, I helped organize a program called "Let's Talk". In short, better solutions come from getting all of our concerns out on the table.
...jack of all trades, master of a few... I pride myself on doing a lot with very little.
I've built my own home on old family property. I've done most of the work myself. Necessity is the mother of invention.
I have many skills, I've mastered a few... from software to singing, construction to collaboration. I'd like to put those skills to work for a better Vermont.
